Restorative Approaches Facilitator Training 2020/2021
All School Staff
Learning Mentor Induction & Training Programme (Level 3 Apprenticeship & Level 4 Accreditation)
The course is open to all staff working with children and young people. A prior knowledge of the learning mentor role is not required; however participants should be working in an educational setting that provides the relevant work-based opportunities and practices required for this apprenticeship.
Level 3 Apprenticeship:
- a strong aspiration to support learners
- participants may have achieved maths, English and ICT skills at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above) prior to commencing their training. Those that have not, must achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
- Level 1 Safeguarding
Level 4 Accredited Course:
Maths and English in Apprenticeships
- Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Evidence of the ability to study at Level 4
All apprenticeships include a requirement for learners to achieve a qualification in Maths and English by the end of the course. If learners already hold a standard pass at GCSE (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above) they are exempt from undertaking this element of the apprenticeship. Training and support will be offered for learners to achieve Functional Skills qualifications and learning time will need to be allocated for this in addition to the 20% off the job learning allocation.
Please note that it is recommended that individuals carrying out the role of school learning mentor should hold a standard pass in English and Maths.
