Description
The Early Years, Primary and Secondary CPD programme offers a wide variety of courses, both as a subscription package and standalone. The courses aim to support leaders and practitioners to develop high quality provision in their own schools. Courses provide participants with opportunities to reflect, share best practice and ensure they are up to date with current pedagogies and statutory requirements.

This package includes one place at each of the following:

Music Subject Leader Meeting

Description
These meetings aim to keep subject leaders up to date with national, regional and local priorities and initiatives in music and, in particular, the opportunities made available through the Royal Greenwich Music Hub.

The meeting will also provide opportunities for subject leaders to share and discuss good practice with visiting professionals providing inspirational CPD sessions.

Please book attendance at the date that corresponds with the appropriate education level.

Description
A networking session for SENCOs to share new developments in SEND. This session will provide support, information, advice and sign posting for SENCOs in mainstream schools in Royal Borough of Greenwich.

NQT Conference

Description
The annual conference invites NQTs from all schools and all phases to come together to share ideas and best practice. Quality sessions on relevant topics will be delivered by experts from across the borough.

NQTs will be sent invitations and further details of the programme nearer the time. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis

Using Intensive Interaction to Support Pupils with an ASD in Schools

Description
This course provides an introduction to intensive interaction techniques and the rationale for using these with pupils with an ASD. Practical application in a school setting is provided.

Restorative Approaches Facilitator Training 2020/2021

Description
A Restorative Approach (RA) is inspired by the philosophy and practices of Restorative Justice, which puts repairing harm done to relationships and people at the heart of its response to conflict and wrongdoing. The ultimate aim of the training is to contribute to the building of a respectful, safe and inclusive school community or setting.


The course is held over 4 days and provides intensive, interactive facilitator training, focusing on building an understanding of a restorative ethos and developing effective facilitation skills


After the Facilitator course, participants can go on to undertake the Restorative Approaches: Theory and Practice Level 5 programme. This is a course credit rated by the University of Greenwich, which will further develop their skills in this area and enable them to gain 60 credits at Level 5.
Impact Statement
Pupils:
  • Will develop essential life skills in conflict resolution, problem solving and emotional literacy; helping them to understand how to positively repair relationships damaged through conflict

Practitioners:
  • Will develop practical skills and knowledge, which they can apply to conflict situations in their work setting
  • Will have the opportunity to work towards a L5 University accreditation and on completion, can apply to achieve registration with the Restorative Justice Council

Settings:
  • Will benefit from having staff with specialist skills and knowledge who can support an enhanced conciliatory culture across the setting
