Welcome to Direct Services to Schools

Thank you for visiting Direct Services to Schools. Please note the Professional Development Centre is currently closed and all training/events scheduled to take place at the venue until 31 August 2020 have been postponed.

We will be looking to reopen the centre and recommence our programme as soon as it is safe to do so, but in the meantime we are pleased to inform you that we are commencing some virtual training in place of those cancelled courses, where it is appropriate to do so. Any training that is held virtually will be reduced in cost by 10% to that advertised.

Virtual courses can be booked in the usual way, via the website. If there are any courses that you are looking to complete that are not detailed on the website, please get in touch and we can advise of availability.

2020 - 2021 service renewals are open for completion, therefore if not yet submitted please do so through your school account. Service offerings and costs can be found in the services section of the website.

Please note our teams are still working and available to provide many of the services advertised. Should you have any queries or need to discuss any services, please email services-to-schools@royalgreenwich.gov.uk

We wish you all the best and look forward to welcoming you back to the PDC when we reopen.

Delivering the best outcomes for children and young people is our shared priority. Therefore, high quality, professional services are paramount for your schools’ performance.

We value the relationship we have with our schools and this long-standing partnership has enabled us to expand on our excellent and local understanding of school priorities.

We are committed to continuous improvement and always strive to make changes for the better. It is, therefore, great to receive feedback from both staff and young people to highlight how beneficial you find our services:

"The support offered was really valuable and the impact measurable. Many students were able to receive early intervention, improving well-being and self-esteem, which inevitably will improve attainment."

An inclusion manager at a Royal Greenwich school regarding the Outreach Learning Mentor team

"Supporting me to my abilities, helping me understand what I am doing and helping me work to my best abilities makes me believe I can do it if I want to, and always want to succeed."

We are sure you will agree that our services continue to provide both value for money and a strong and wide-ranging portfolio, for both maintained schools and academies.
